Emma has been working with my husband, Bill, on balance issues and muscle strengthening, yet he has gained so much more as a result of his sessions with her. He is 88 and had a seizure a little over a year ago and his confidence in his own abilities really suffered as he tried to navigate his way back from that. Bill has always enjoyed physical fitness and going to the gym so when Covid closed these premises he was really at a loss until we found Emma, who is a joy and an inspiration to work with. The new exercise routines from Emma have translated into an improvement in Bill’s walking gait and he has gone from being fearful and hesitant on stairs and steps to having a tight core with stronger leg and knee muscles, making it easier to handle going up and down stairs with more confidence. She makes the challenge enjoyable and fun while helping to stretch his abilities in ways that would never have been possible just working out at the gym. Seeing such an improvement in Bill I asked Emma to work with me on old injuries, improving posture and muscle tone. Three months on I am thrilled with what we have achieved together. Emma has developed programs and routines which have worked with each injury and I feel more upright and in my body than I could ever have imagined. Emma’s fitness knowledge and expertise is multi faceted. She has an ability to encourage, to push us in directions we didn’t see possible for ourselves, and brings a great sense of humour to our sessions which have left us fitter, stronger and more equipped to deal with the challenges of aging. We also feel younger which is always a positive side effect, so thank you Emma, you are amazing at what you do and we look forward to a long and happy relationship together.
