I thought I would be afraid, but Emma's stepwise instruction allowed for a focus that put me in a place of ease and confidence.

From the moment I found Emma’s website, to her first response to my inquiry email, I knew this was a human being with huge integrity, warmth, and clear intention. My 18 year old daughter and I signed up for an initial 3 month kickboxing training with Emma in her Victoria Monday evening group. In just 3 months I felt a part of a community of women in a space that feels all about inclusion, physical and mental empowerment, and lots of warmth and joy. This has everything to do with how Emma establishes the space and runs the training session. There were some evenings where I left tired and physically depleted from a strong training session but also lovingly held in the presence of other women, of all ages. Emma is amazing. I never considered myself an athletic person, but after many months of training with Emma I finally get it. I feel so much stronger and more confident in myself than I ever have, all the while never feeling like it's "work" to participate in her classes. Emma knows exactly what you need to hear, when to push you and when to go easy, she's not intimidating and she never makes you feel like you don't have it in you. She teaches valuable skills that aren't just absurdly fun and fulfilling, they could also save your life.
